1. What is virtual Web Hosting?
We specialize in virtual web hosting, which means you can find a home for your web site on our high performance web servers and establish your presence on the Internet with your own unique domain name. This is a cost effective alternative to hosting your own web site internally. Our shared hosting environment gives you the benefits of high performance servers, high bandwidth connectivity that can seamlessly grow with your needs, pre-installed software, guaranteed reliability and round the clock technical support, all at a fraction of the cost of doing it yourself.

3. Do you offer dialup Internet access?
No. We currently do not offer dialup access.
4. Can I get web design services from NetWebPros without purchasing one of your hosting services?
Yes. If you require website development, you are under no obligation whatsoever to purchase one of our hosting plans. You may use any host you wish. The same applies in reverse. If you pay for a hosting plan, you do not need to purchase our design services.
NetWebPros does, however, frequently run specials for customers who wish to simultaneously purchase both hosting and web design services. Check back at the site often for the latest specials.
5. What is a virtual/true domain?
A virtual/true domain is having your own domain name (http://www.your-name.com) without having to install expensive server hardware and software. With a virtual domain, you utilize our server's storage space, however, you are still professionally represented via your own personal Internet web address (www.your-name.com) and by your own personal email address (you@your-name.com). Having your own domain name enables you to maintain the same email address (you@your-name.com) even if you change Internet providers.
6. Do you offer Technical Support?
Yes. We currently provide with you three options to contact our Support Staff:
- Support E-mail which is answered within 24-36 hours.
- Live telephone support which is available between 9 am - 10 pm CST.
- Our 24-hour Live Online Support (Note: our representatives may not be available at all times of the day. If unavailable, try again later or use another method of contact.)
PLEASE NOTE: We urge all customers to read the Help Documentation provided for the CPanel5 Control Panel. 95% of all questions you might have will be found there. We DO NOT provide free support for:
- The Interchange or Agora Shopping Carts. We urge only those who are familiar with website programming to install and configure the software as well as set up any database connectivity and architecture. We can, however, provide paid support, which we charge normal programming rates, and we would be more than happy to tailor-design any e-commerce-capable application(s) that your desire.
- Any of the free CGI scripts that come with your hosting plan (which can be found in your control panel), such as the hit counter, guestbook, etc.. Setup of these scripts shouldn't be too difficult if you have a good understanding of HTML and webpage design.

7. What type of hardware are you using? What are your Network capabilities?

8. How long does it take to set up a new account?
New accounts are set up within 24 hours from the time we receive your order, although many accounts can be set up within 6-8 hours or less on weekdays. Once your account is set up, you will be emailed your Account Login information (User ID, Password & FTP hostname) along with some useful URLs to help you get started. You can immediately start uploading files to your new web site. Domain account users will be given a temporary URL to access their site via the web prior to the completion of either domain registration or domain modification.
Please note that it may take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours for your domain name to completely propagate throughout the internet.
9. Will I have unlimited access to my site for updates?
Yes. You have unlimited access via FTP 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.
10. What Operating System and Server Software is being used?
All our systems run a customized version of RedHat, using the powerful Apache Web Server and Apache SSL Server for secure transactions.
11. How do I transfer files from my computer to my web site?
Files must be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP). Internet providers such as AOL, CompuServe, and Prodigy may have a built-in FTP interface. If you have a different ISP, we recommend you get an FTP program such as CuteFTP or WS-FTP. If you need FTP, Telnet, mail, or other Internet software, visit downloads site such as ZDNet Downloads, CNET Downloads, or Shareware.com. Each site is an excellent source for the latest Internet applications with ratings and reviews to help you decide which application is best suited for your needs. Microsoft FrontPage users can "publish" their sites to our server and should not use FTP.
12. Do you maintain backups of my data?
Yes. Your web directory is backed up daily on redundant hard drives installed on each of our hosting servers, although we make no 100% guarantee against file loss. You also have the option to backup your web files directly through your control panel.
You are also encouraged to keep current duplicate backups of all your website files on your computer. The reason for this is not for emergency purposes, but for practical reasons. If you modify your site files, upload them to your site, and later discover that you accidentally made a mistake or corrupted a file(s), you will always have a "fresh" backup from which you can restore your site.
13. How can I tell how many visits my web site gets?
Included FREE with every account are excellent statisical tracking tools such as Analog Graphical Stats, Webalizer, Latest Visitors, and Bandwidth Tracker. Through the use of these comprehensive tools, you can keep track of site visitors and usage in many different ways.
14. Can I upgrade my account?
Yes. You can upgrade your account at any time, as long as it is only once every thirty days. For instance, if you upgrade your account on September 15, you can modify your account at any time after October 15.

15. Do you handle international orders?
Yes. We welcome any and all business from our global neighbors. If you are interested in international domain name registrations, we provide you with useful resources to help link you to most registration services around the world.
16. Can I access my domain without the "www" in front?
Yes. You will be able to access your domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.
17. Can I access my e-mail online (as opposed to an e-mail client such as Outlook Express)?
Yes. Go to your Control Panel and click on the "Read Web Mail" link towards the bottom. If it is your first time using them, you must configure Neomail.
18. Do I still get regular POP email boxes when I have online Neomail?
Yes. Each account also comes with an unlimited number of regular POP accounts that will allow you to pickup email with any standard email program like Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape, or Eudora.
19. Can I subdivide my space and resell it?
You may do whatever you wish with your site (as long as they fit within our Terms of Service). Although we only allow one domain name per account, you can set up as many sub-domains (such as http://yourname.yoursite.com) as your hosting plan allows, and sell/distribute them as you see fit.
20. Can I host domains in the sub-directory of my main account?
No. For now, we only allow one main domain per account. You may, however, host sub-domains (the amount thereof depends on your hosting plan).
21. Can I point additional domains to the same main page as my current domain?
Yes. We can mirror your main web pages for a one time $30.00 set up fee for each additional domain. This is a great way to expand the marketing of your present business.
22. Are third level domain names available?
Yes. We can give you a third level- or sub-domain name such as http://yourname.yoursite.com (the "yourname" in this case). Please check our hosting plans for the amount of sub-domians you are allowed.
23. What is the cost for additional logins?
Currently, we only allow the set number of FTP log-ins for our Basic and Standard plans. If you wish to acquire more log-ins, you must upgrade your hosting plan.
24. Can I use my account for commercial purposes?
Yes. You can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information, products and services available to the users of the Internet community, and we provide our customers the necessary tools to develop a successful Internet business.
25. Can I use my account to host porn, warez, mp3s, etc.?
No. Any account either hosting these items or linking to them will immediately be suspended.
26. Do you allow resource-intensive CGI programs such as forums software?
We currently do not allow flat file-based forums such as UBBs (Ultimate Bulletin Boards), Ikonboards, or YaBBs. Port forwarders are NOT allowed under any circumstances. For a list of banned CGI programs/scripts that we do not allow, please refer to our Terms of Service page.
You are more than welcome to run any PHP forums, such as phpBBs. They are database-driven therefore far less stressful on the server.
27. Will Server Side Includes (SSI) work on your servers?
Yes. SSI's will parse on any page ending in .sht or .shtml. To call a server side include on your .sht or .shtml pages, make sure the include looks like this:

Or this (depending on the file):

Of course, replace the "path_to_cgi-bin/filename.cgi" with the correct path to the script you're calling.
